Independent of a client’s location, services reasonably within the scope of practice authorized
by the USPTO or necessarily incident to the preparation and prosecution of patent applications,
including rendering opinions as to the patentability of inventions and as to the procedure and
practice of obtaining a United States patent, may be sourced from CPL's New Jersey location
(see Sperry v. Florida Bar, 373 U.S. 379 (1963);
cf. Opinion 9, NJ Comm. Unauth. Practice of Law, 95 N.J.L.J. 269 (1972)),
whereas all other legal services shall be sourced from CPL's New York location, under New York
